By Air
The Dubai International Airport (DXB) is connected daily with numerous cities around the world. It is one of the busiest international airports, providing a wide range of services and facilities for travelers. The airport is located approximately 5 km (3 miles) from the city center and is easily accessible via taxi, metro, and bus.
By Road
Dubai can be reached by road from neighboring countries such as Saudi Arabia and Oman. The road network is well-developed, making it convenient for those who prefer to drive.
By Sea
There are ferry connections from Iran and other Gulf countries to Dubai. The Dubai Cruise Terminal is a major hub for cruise ships and provides excellent facilities for passengers.

ATMs: They are widely available in Dubai for MasterCard or Visa cardholders.
Banks: Banks are open from Monday to Friday, 8:00-15:30 hrs; on Saturdays and Sundays they are closed. Central branches of some banks may have extended hours. For further details while in Dubai, please consult your hotel concierge.
Credit cards: All major credit cards are accepted in almost all hotels, shops, and restaurants. Stickers in the front windows will advise you as to which cards are accepted.
Currency: The currency of Dubai is the UAE Dirham (AED).
Climate: The average minimum temperature (usually the minimum temperature is noted during the night) in Dubai in November is 20.0°C. November is a dry month with an average of 10mm (0.4in) of rain. You can expect very pleasant temperatures during the day. The average maximum daytime temperature lies around 30.0°C.

Local time: The local time zone in Dubai is 4 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+4 hours).
Restaurants: Restaurants are normally open for lunch from 12:30 to 16:00 and for dinner from 19:00 to midnight. Many cafes and fast-food outlets serve food all day long and stay open till late at night.
Shops: Dubai offers a large variety of shops, from traditional souks selling antiques, curiosities, and jewelry, to modern malls with international brands. Shops typically operate from 10:00 to 22:00, with some malls open even later, especially on weekends.
Taxis: Taxis in Dubai are plentiful, safe, and metered. They can be found at taxi ranks, hailed on the street, or booked via phone or app. Taxi sharing is not common practice in Dubai.
Telecommunications: The international access code for the UAE is +971. The outgoing code is 00 followed by the relevant country code (e.g., 001 for the USA or Canada, 0044 for the United Kingdom). For information concerning mobile phone use in Dubai, please ask your provider.
Tipping: Tipping is not compulsory but is appreciated. A 10% tip is common in restaurants, and small amounts are usually given to hotel staff and taxi drivers.
